ABOUT THE AUTHOR

 

 

   A native of the Pacific Northwest, Kristina Podelnyk spends her days teaching high school science and her nights writing YA adventure/fantasy novels.  During any extra time, she enjoys working in her garden, playing with her three cats and hiking with her partner. 

 

   Kristina began writing when she was a teenager and completed her first novel, The Book of Light and Dark, in 2012.  She is currently working on the sequel, The Mirror of Near and Far. Several of Kristina's notable accomplishments include a degree in Biochemistry/Botany from the University of Maine, a Masters in Teaching from Washington State University and a National Board Certification.
